To celebrate our New York office turning one, we recently caught up with Managing Director Emil Dyrvig to get his insider’s take on Templafy’s first year stateside. In the interview, which covered everything from building a unique internal culture to his team’s plans for 2020, Emil also talked about Templafy’s “unconventional” recruitment process: a key strategy for onboarding and nurturing the extraordinary talent that’s driven growth and taken Templafy worldwide.
One year on from the opening of our New York office, things are looking quite different at our rooftop HQ on Fifth Avenue. Managing Director, Emil Dyrvig, has been there from the very start. From scouting out our office space, filling it with a team of exceptional talent and helping shape this next chapter of our Templafy story.
Templafy now supports uploading Scalable Vector Graphic (SVG) files to the Templafy Image Library. SVG is a relatively new format that PowerPoint started to support in 2016. Adding this new format to the Templafy Image Library has a positive impact on end-user experience and the designers whose task it is to create company icons and simple logos. This blog will explore the benefits from both these perspectives.
Templafy exhibiting at Microsoft Inspire 2019 event in Las Vegas Templafy has a strong and valued relationship with Microsoft and its partner network. Having achieved Microsoft Gold Partner status, we’ve designed a platform that integrates seamlessly with Microsoft and partner applications to greatly enhance employee workflows and content governance. What is the update? The Templafy Library is now available inside the Outlook calendar. This means that when users are sending calendar invites, they can choose attachments and text elements to add directly from within the calendar invite. Templafy Library stores text elements, images and PDFs, making it easy to add useful content to a meeting invite.
What is the update? Templafy has now expanded the dynamic functions available in Excel. Personalization and customization of spreadsheets in Excel is now enabled, and occurs based on the user’s employee information, office information and document context. These dynamic functions can be applied to headers and footers in spreadsheets, color schemes, and document properties.
Templafy allows companies to distribute text elements, which are pieces of text that are frequently used in documents. These are stored in the Templafy library, and can be directly inserted into a document, calendar invite or email. Text elements are maintained centrally through the admin center, ensuring they are always up-to-date and the information in them is correct. Ready-made text elements offer flexibility in document creation, as they can be easily inserted into a variety of different templates.
